BULGARIA

Follow-up Activity from Bulgarian Participants

Indroduction

On the celebration day of Varna, the city where the follow-up activity for the LASE project took place, the 15th of August, we managed to gather a couple of young people very interested in learning about entrepreneurship and the basics of goal setting.

Preparation

Prior to the activity, we had discussed in the organization's team - Ivana, Dani, Kris and Tavit to present the activity called ,,The circle of life'' which aims to measure each of the 8 quadrants of life and how far one thinks he has progressed on each. In the assessment during the activity each participant should mark with a line how well on a scale from 1 to 10 they feel they are doing in the particular life area. After they have completed that part, they need to answer a set of questions for the future and set goals according to their results.

Activity

In the activity Dani and Kris took part by introducing the project Launching a Social Enterprise that was held in Porto, Portugal about a month before. They presented some of the activities and briefed the results achieved in the process.Once they had introduced the topic, they engaged the participants in the activity "The circle of life", presenting them an opportunity to estimate how life's been going lately - what is each one specifically good at, which sphere of life he or she needs to improve, and write down some steps which can be helpful to do so. In the second part of the task, they need to set three goals for the couple of months left before the end of this year.

Conclusion

Overall, the activity was assessed as helpful and intuitive by the participants, as some of them managed to intertwine their entrepreneurial goals to the particular life spheres of education and work development. In this way, the participants became engaged in the movement of young entrepreneurs and they discovered a small piece to help them get better at setting, planning and executing one-year-long goals.

Evaluation paragraphs from each participant:

Kris:

As my first Erasmus+ project, I was very excited to see what all the hustle was about - well, I seem to get it now. All the foreign people, every open-minded discussion, a little piece of new knowledge every day - this is what I liked about the project. In my opinion the practical teaching part can be improved in a way that includes real-life situations and resolving existent problems as groups.

Dani:

I have never been to Portugal before, but I have always dreamt of it, so I am happy I got to check one more thing off the bucket list. Moreover, I really enjoyed the time spent with the organization's team - every participant from Bulgaria was very active and they single-handedly engaged in discussions, group tasks, gatherings, etc. which makes me proud as the organization's president. This means we manage to fit the best groups for each project and I feel relieved about it.

Ivana:

Back in July I was a participant in a KA153YOU Erasmus+ project called "LASE" (Launching a social enterprise). The aim of the project was to improve our entrpereneurial skills by introducing design thinking, ways of facing challenges, creating prototypes and presenting. Different participants who all have the passion in this field were bringed together to collaborate with each other and create something in the end. We had a great time sharing each others ideas and discussing them while giving feedback and sharing different stories from our business stories in the past.

Tavit:

My Erasmus+ adventure in Porto, Portugal from 5th to 13th of July was a transformative journey that immersed me in the world of social entrepreneurship. Through workshops I gained a profound understanding of using business for positive societal change. However, what truly enriched my experience were the diverse connections I formed with fellow participants, fostering personal growth through cultural immersion, and honing my soft skills. This unique blend of learning and meaningful relationships has left an indelible mark, equipping me with the tools and passion to make a positive impact on society in the future. Grateful to be part of this Erasmus+ project!
